SPECIAL EDITOR'S NOTE: WOW! Where did this year go? Anyway, my family

(wife/OPDX's chief proof-reader Linda, Teddy [TJ], Katie) and I (KB8NW)

would like to wish all DXers, Contesters and OPDX readers a very "Happy

Holiday and Season's Greetings". Also, we would like thank the many who

have contributed information over the year (there are too many to list).

REMEMBER, without them there would not be an OPDX Bulletin. I would also

thank the many who sent holiday greetings. I tried to answer some and

wished I could answer each one of them individually, but it would take

a huge amount of time. You would not believe the amount of E-mail I

receive...... 73 and Have a Great Holiday de Tedd KB8NW

JUST A REMINDER! This will be the last week for qualifing to achieve the

"DXCC Millennium Award" certificate by working 100 different DXCC entities

non-ARRL members. NO QSLs are required for this award. Details and "DXCC

Millennium Award Application" can be found on the ARRL Web page:

3Y0, BOUVET. Astronaut Chuck Brady, N4BQW, continues to be active daily

during various times mainly on 20/15/10 meters. His suggested frequencies

and 50 MHz which will become operational later and only by pre-arrangement

with 3Y0C. His activity has been mainly SSB, but when asked about CW he

replied that it will also be covered later. Currently, Chuck is running

700 watts into a G5RV antenna. He has Yagi beams, but these will be

following this week: "The much-anticipated multi-national North Korean

operation, which was announced in mid October, which was first scheduled

for late October then early January 2001, has been scrapped. The North

Korean Organization for Army support is now refusing the use of any

transmitting equipment during the Official Opening of the Educational
